    Not sure if it was from a bite or if she did that on the rocks. We caught a lot of fish with marks on them like than including some pike that were close to 20 pounds. I think it may have been from the sharp rocks in shallow water. Maybe someone else has a better answer??

    LOL! I have been working 70+ hour weeks and it was great to get away. That was the first time I have taken a week off to go on a fishing trip. I have fished a lot on hunting trips, but this was so much more relaxing. Nothing to do but eat, drink, fish and then eat and drink some more. We stayed on an island and kicked back. It was a great experience and I will likely make it an annual trip.

    I see they play with bronze-colored footballs in Canada. Oh wait, no those are very impressive small jaws. Nice fish!

    I had never caught a smallmouth before last week. I can see why it is the favorite fish of many anglers. They just never give up! We caught 50 or 60 each afternoon. The largest I caught was 19 inches.

    Looks like a blast. We were surpised to hear they pushed the opener forward so early this year. Dad was just up last weekend opening the cottage up. I wont make it up until August this year. Your pictures arent making the wait any easier.

    We've gone to the same place in Northern Ontario for 10 years straight. My health issues killed it for us this year. I really missed it. I'm envious.
