We had 5 bucks by us one night and could not get a shot, headed out this weekend for some fun. Corn is still in and with this rain it's going to be there awhile

That's not too bad. My MI public has cedar "swamps". On wet years, they are WET. My boy shot a deer that just had to die in the middle of about 5 acres of water. Nut deep water in Nov is no fun.

Fun night for the kid, he did not connect or get a shot. He had deer around him all day. Including this guy who put on a show with his grunting and chasing of a doe.

It's been fun back in the tree again. Today is my Grandfathers birthday, I sure do miss him. That was the last buck he wrapped those hands around some antlers and I am still very proud it was one of mine.

It was a fun year and I am looking forward to next year, my taxi service for my son ended on the 9th when he turned 16.

Going to enjoy hunting next year with my son and him more on his own.

A serious question is this the same buck

    My initial thought is no

The maple right behind this deer was the killer tree back in the day, it use to have a trunk going right up the middle. It died and was cut down, I could dance the jig up there and the deer not see me, trying to figure out where to put a stand next year here.

    Was a fun year!!!!
