Im getting married august 19th of this year and need somewhere to go for a bachelor event. Im not into all that party crap or anything just want to spend my time outdoors. Id like to go on a hunt or somewhere where i can go on an awesome hike and camp out in the middle of nowhere. Does anyone have any ideas? Or what have some of you done that i can go do with my groomsman.
    Thanks!

Kinda hard in August with no open seasons yet. Pig hunts available in your area?

Hog hunt would be great for a group of guys to do together. If it's just 1 or 2 buddies, I'd look into either antelope or an OTC Muley tag!

Over the counter means you can go into the store and buy them without a drawing, they are available first come first served.

I love the concept as a whole, and like the idea of a turkey hunt like sundevil suggested. I turkey hunted my first season last year and I was able to get on birds almost every hunt and it was super exciting, even though I didn't end up taking a bird.

Besides, if you take down a bird early in the trip you can always scout deer or something else for a couple days and go back for a season that wasn't open in august if you see something you like!

Fishing would be a good option if you are in to that.

I put together my own bach party it was a grouse hunting and trout fishing spectacular. Stayed at a little resort in the woods that only had generator power it was a big time. There were no strippers just cards played, drinking, fishing and hunting. I put on a clinic that weekend shot plenty of birds and limited out on trout, this was a week after I shot my first self guided bear in the area. Oh those were the days.

I skipped all of the suggestions - so just throwing it out there.

We have a place that offers a little lodge - but also has a skeet shooting range, gun range, etc. Depending on seasons, they also have grouse/pheasant available and I think maybe dove. Do you have anything like that in the area?

Otherwise I'd find a cabin - close to some water and have a backyard party. Fishing, sharing laughs with friends, cards if interested, horse shoes, etc.
