Will it help me? My season starts on Wed. This is Wisconsin's 5th season so these birds have been hunted before. I know where these toms have been strutting in a green pasture that I plan on hunting when Wed. roles around. My question to you is should I put my B-mobile out with a single hen decoy? or no Decoys? What do you think?
I would first start off by just sitting where you believe they will be, no decoys and no calling. It may not be as exciting, but if the birds have had pressure already it might be the best way to get them into range without sending them the other way.
I would use a hen and a jake decoy, I've been hunting and in central WI and I wish that I would have put a jake with my single hen decoy, He seen my hen and came to about 60 yards and hung up on me. I'm not sure if a Tom would come to a hen and a Tom decoy, its hard to say.
If you can come up with a jake fan for mobile it will be less intimidating to younger birds. use him and slam a big un
I've been told that the Jake's and timid Toms's won't come in with the B-Mobile out. Of course I was told this after purchasing mine. Anyway I've used mine a could of times with no success. BUT I'm not ready to give up on it yet.
