I'm just getting into trad myself. I picked up a 1968 Bear Tigercat a couple months ago. Now that deer season is over, I'm going to start working with the recurve. Depending on how it goes, I may try and hunt with traditional equipment next fall.
Sorry I have sucked lately. I got out wedensday and no shot. Was planning on hunting tomorrow and decided getting sick would be more fun. I head back to work Tuesday. I will get home on the very last day of the season here, but I think the contest will be closed by then (Jan 23). Will still try for a doe for my freezer, but don't think it will do us any good if I get lucky . Need to get better at doe hunting, its my goal for next year. Im always so worried if I shoot a doe early Ill spook off a buck right around the corner. I been scouting some public land, so hopefully that will give me a worry free doe area. Also picked up a suburb property for next year, which has potential of both a monster buck, and extended bow seasons here in PA, so hopefully 2016 will be good to me. I shot my biggest buck to date this year, so I am proud as can be, just wish I could have got us that extra 50.
Contest is open until Jan 31. You still have a chance to add a few points to our score. Best of luck!
Looks like we made the top ten. Unofficially sitting in 7th place. Good job guys. Anybody still hunting? There is a week and a half left in the contest before it's officially scored.
I hope to be out this weekend. I was out last Sunday night and had 9 does within 20 yards. I thought for sure a buck would show up, but no such luck.
Looks like we officially took 7th place. Considering the number of teams and participants, making it into the top 10 is something to be proud of. Good job, guys! I enjoyed sharing my season with you all in this thread.
