Red rock public or are you talking another place near there? I haven't hunted public much since I have way too much private to hunt. Bad problem, I know. Most of the public land I have hunted is near Oskaloosa or east of here. Never have gone west to hunt. This year me and my buddy are going to pick a random public land in Iowa and take my camper up for a weekend just for change of scenery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Red rock public. I have plenty of private too but me and my buddy were shotgun hunting in there and got lost but caught a glimpse of a pretty good sized buck were going to try and take in there if we don't have anything to shoot on the private land. But that idea sounds pretty fun!
I've always wanted to try red rock but never knew where to start. Might need to consider the area. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was actually blessed with mine last Saturday. It was one thing just to be doing what I love on my birthday but was extremely blessed to kill my first bear on my birthday.
Tomorrow is my birthday. My wife and I are closing on buying our first house tomorrow. Fortunately and unfortunately, my birthday present has already been determined. I am afraid a hunting related present will have to wait.
A fully stocked fishing pond! Hopefully digging one this summer on the hunting property, wish I could have had it for the bay this year.
My own version of "blast and cast".. Africa hunt, relax a fews after and then a shark/tuna fishing trip for a few days. I would love to get a Gemsbok and a warthog out of Africa.. sharking/tuna fishing is right up there with wild boar hunting for some of my favorite sporting trips.
I would like the new Lacrosse AlphaBurly boots. Fleecelined and insulated, no more cold toes in late season. Also,I could settle for Under armour 4.0, which is supposedly the warmest baselayer on the face of the earth. Fleet Farm gift card cant go wrong either.
Either a chunk of land to learn and scout and manage or a couple hundred dollars and all day at a cabelas.
