The only thing is, they fall short in offering a category that reflects the deer that are typical and symmetrical so that's not exactly fair to those bucks that are prettier and more perfect.

I like the current system with gross scores. Not that interested in net. Spread is super important, and needs to stay. In fact, I think spread should affect the score more than it does. A 150 inch buck with a 22 inch spread looks WAY more impressive than a 150 inch buck with a 15 inch spread, but would only score 7 inches different.

That is exactly what MNMoose is proposing.

If people like perfect racks, and I can understand why they would ;) , it would be interesting to create a category that would score the minimum deductions and abnormal inches. This would mean the best score would be a zero, with no differences in tine length.

I also like the Idea of a volume measurement. That is true mass. Would have to do away with the circumference measurements then...

In theory, I think a water displacement measurement instead of circumference would be a better measure of a bucks mass, but in application it would be pretty difficult to achieve constant results between scorers I would think.

Why change the rules as they have been from the beginning? If you don't like P&Y or B&C don't enter your buck. Why let a club change the way you feel about a buck. As far as buck masters I will never have anything to do with that organization. I take it nobody here has been harassed over the phone by these scumbags? Jackie Bushman can shove it up his backside.

I can see that too......maybe the B&C and P&Y would be fine if they did away with the deductions...that's where my main issue was....never really considered some of the points yall are bringing up....

that would be awesome!!! as far as record book bucks...there should be different but equal categories I reckon...just wish that P&Y and B&C were not the ONLY standard always used as the go to....

You could just measure your own buck and be done with it.

Been a scorer of BFCSS Buckmaster Full Credit Scoring System for 18 years now and was glad they started to show the spread as a score but not credit it as it's a measurement of air not antler. I totally agree with their measuring system compared to P&Y & BC, silly how the 2 take away from measurments for nubs or small points then take away from the total because there is no matching one on the other side!!!!!! Crazy if you ask me WHY TAKE AWAY when it's there !!!!!!! Go figure!!!
