Having handled and used both brands of sights I will atest that the HHA sights seem to be built much sturdier and be of a general higher quality. Also, when it comes to pin brightness those AXT sights can't touch HHA. They have the brightest pin of any sight I've ever used, hands down.

When it comes to the adjustment mechanism the HHA with the wheel is much more fluid and precise than the sliding pin on the AXT. HHA makes that same sliding pin adjustment as well which suffers from the same issue so it's not a brand specific, I just believe the wheel adjustment to be the better system.

The one and only thing I do not like about my HHA is the uncertainty of the accuracy while sighting in the bow, And what I mean by that is it kind of sucks having to shoot 20-60 yard groups.

If you have a newer HHA you can screw the pin guard in to cover up some of the fiber if the pin is too bright and then screw it back out when it gets dark. If you have an older sight I believe they sell a retrofit kit to do this.

Yes, I have a newer model, it's interesting, I thought about it, and buy another enclosure with a smaller pin is too expensive

I feel stupid saying this but pin brightness was the only thing that turned me off of a HHA. Man that thing was bright. The sight in my sig has a light that I can turn on but that pin is as bright as I could ever shoot, no need to use the light. Its not as bright as the HHA though. After I got the trophy ridge somebody posted that they used black tape around the pin on their HHA to help "calm it down". It never occurred to me to do this or I might have tried a HHA but I have no complaints from my trophy ridge pursuit.

Back to my comment from earlier - there's a pin brightness adjustment built into the HHA sight housing. You simply screw it in and the hood moves back to cover the fibers. Problem solved, no tape or sight light needed.

HHA are really top shelf, tuff an dependable sights.
To address some of the questions...Justin touched on the brightness issues, to add to that I just leave the rheostat half way closed and forget about it. It's still plenty bright and I don't worry about a halo.

Some mentioned the 20-60 sight in to determine the correct tape. A couple comments on this, first I can understand your trepidation however it flat out works and works well.
After using it a few times to validate it you come to appreciate the easy of use. Also for sight tapes you can use online programs to create them, I just fill in all the fields and then print out the correct tape...super easy.

I have both the slider and dial HHA alone with several different housings both single and three pin. I really don't have any more use for a fixed pin sight. Any thing a fixed pin can do a movable pin sight with the correct housing can do better.

HHA, MBG, CBE and Copper John all make excellent quality moveable pin sights.
    Good luck.

When I was looking at them I don't remember anything about that. Is that a advertised feature? Maybe I missed it. I'll have to give them another look I think they make a quality sight if I could dim that pin down a little. Thanks for pointing that out...twice:lol:
