Has anyone had a chance to look at these sights close up? Use one? I am mostly curious about how the pins are adjusted.

    Bruce.

It looks like there is 2 slots that the pins move up and down in.

I had to zoom in to 200% to see it.
    Pins 1 & 3 are in 1 slot while 2 & 4 are in the other.

Thanks. I saw that too but it says that you adjust them "using the supplied 1/16 allen wrench" by turning the micro-adjustment knob to move them up or down. It looks to me like you are just loosening an allen screw and sliding them up and down and that is not "micro-adjustment" in my book.

I like the looks of the sight. It looks as sturdy and solid as my spot hogg hunter. If I were in the market for another sight this may be a possibility but the pins need to be a true micro-adjust like the spot hogg.

Bruce - I am using an Armortech site and will be doing a review w/hi-res photos today. Overall I'm VERY pleased with the site. The adjustments are great, it's definitely well built, and the pins are super solid. The only thing I don't like is that the pins aren't very bright, so I'm in the process of tracking down a light for it. Other than that, great sight. Highly recommended!

Great! Looking forward to the review. I've got a bow that needs a sight and I have been eyeing these lately.

Just got done taking a few photos and messing with it a bit more. To answer your original question - the individual pins ARE micro-adjustable. You have to loosen a set screw with a 1.5mm allen key and then turn a knob on the bottom of the sight to adjust the pin. The movement is very smooth. The gang adjustments can be done without the need for any tools. You loosen the wing nut, then turn the knobs. One thing I also like is the way the gang adjustments "click" when you are moving them. Helps keep track of how many clicks you've moved the sight. :tu:

I saw Justin's sight in person. It looked to be very well built with excellent fit and finish.

I have seen and handled the Armortech quite a bit. I don't own one though. I would consider it among the very best hunting specific sights out there right now. In my opinion, the Armortech, a custom and wrapped Spot Hogg Hunter Hogg It, and the new NXS from Octane to be the very cream of the crop right now.

Thanks guys. I have purchased a number of items based on opinions I trust and I haven't been disappointed. I appreciate the input.
