The pic doesn't even show half of it... Haven't got on the roof to check the damage yet. I will once the wife gets home so she can keep an eye on the lil guy. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
Never looked at it that way.... My neighbor actually had this home built and lived in it from 1982 to the mid 90's (sold due to a divorce).... He never had a problem ( I never met the guy he sold it to, the owner before me)... Just maybe I am cursed in this house. The tree actually landed directly above us sleeping last night. That's our bedroom and the wall our bed is on.
After I just had fun with it cutting up a monster maple that fell out by the front pond. It's been a rough year and a half on the home front, that's for sure.
Silver lining. A tree fell on your house right on top of you, and your family wasn't injured in the slightest. Still, it sucks and hopefully it didn't do too much damage. Good luck to ya!
Looks identical to the one I cut up this morning. The neighbor's maple fell on her roof. Hope you have as good of luck as she did. When I got it cut and removed, she literally had two small, non damaging marks in her shingles. 6 inches either way and it would have been much worse. Good luck Scott.
Man, you really can't catch a break, can you? Hopefully it's not as bad as it looks once you get it removed and assess the damage.
I got up on the roof, from what I can see it just looks superficial. I do have a lot of weight and debris on the ridge of the hip above our bedroom... I cannot tell if it is damaged yet, have to start cutting and removing to be able to see. These are 30 year shingles that are less than 2 years old! I cringe looking at it. Last thing I want is to deal with another insurance claim.
Here is a photo from the roof. Could have been a whole lot worse. It is 2 branches off of a decent sized white oak that came down.
Man you having a rough time keeping a roof over your head the last few years. Glad everyone is alright tho. At least you get to try out your tent before the GTG.
