Awesome opening weekend I set up with my little brother opening day in the blind on a small browse field right off the highway. In an hour and a half before light and heard deer all around specifically on an acorn patch on my right saw a small doe at about 10 yards looking for a nice die though so didn't shoot. In the afternoon I took my climber and went into the oaks and saw 6 small bucks and a Fawn. Still no does! The next day we wnt to the blind but got skunked, afternoon I moved the blind to a scrape I saw a shooter for him on the wind was perfect sprayed everything down with scent killer and got set saw a giant buck come out of bed in an odd spot to my right at 50 yards and what do ya know he went to where our blind was the first couple hunts haha that's how it goes! I'm more excited for him to get a buck then I am for myself can't wait for next weekend heading to the adirondacks for some gun bear hunting and bow whitetail!

Yeah it's tough to find em but once you do it pays off as te caliber of the deer on long island surpasses probably the whole north east
