6:00 pm I decide to put my phone down and start paying attention. I catch movement to my left. 3, yes 3, shooter bucks 20 yes away. To make a long story short I take a shot at a beautiful wide 8....crack! He takes off with a decent amount of arrow sticking out. I'm pretty sure I hit shoulder. I waited 2 hours and started a light track cuz I saw them all run back into the corn. Lots of blood with some bubbles, not many though. Found broke arrow and there is probably 4-5 inches broke with blood/hair almost 3/4 of the way up the rest of the Arrow. The trail showed him exit the corn and head across cut corn, still good blood the whole way. I backed out so as not to bump him if he was in a drainage ditch. Do I have a dead deer? There will be no sleep tonight, ugh!! I'm so pissed at myself

Sounds like deep enough penetration to me. It'll suck tonight, but look first thing in the morning.

God I hope you guys are right. I'm bout sick to my stomach right now!! It was so unbelievable to have that experience. What happened was the one I shot came in first, broadside at 8yds. I drew back and the second one was coming behind and I liked him better, wasn't as wide but heavy, heavy rack and tall. The other one was prolly a 150" 10 but he was out too far and they were so close I wasn't waiting. As I'm holding on the one I want he walks straight at me up to 4yds. He stops, sticks nose in air and the "phshshshs!!!!". I thought oh no they r gonna bolt so I switched to the other 8 and let fly. Lord I hope I find him. Btw my mom shot a nice 125" 8 150 yes away the night before. I'd say it's been awhile since that property has been hunted!

Yes, I'm sure you'll find him. I think you did the right thing backing out but I don't think I could wait until morning.

Hope you find your buck. From the sound of it, you hit him well enough he should die.

Post some pics when you find him.

Good luck in finding him, wear blaze orange if you have it. Don't want to be mistaken by an overly excited youth hunter.

Get on your hands and knees if necessary. Even one drop of blood in any direction can get you back on the trail.
