Sounds like hate to me. No need for the negative comments. Say something positive to increase your post count!

I am POSITIVE this product nor any other similar type product will have any bearing on whether I get busted by a deer downwind.

But hey, it's your money. Knock yourself out using the stuff if you disagree. That's okay. All members don't have to agree. Keep in mind this is a discussion board, not a cheerleading section.

True, but who knows to what extent they did scent control? Who knows if they stored stuff in scent proof bags? Maybe they just threw the **** in the back of there truck as they puffed on cigars, sprayed some ddw on after getting dressed and got busted and complained it doesn't work.

I think there's a right and wrong way, you rather do it all as perfectly as possible or don't bother. But I've had zero issues getting close to deer from both sides of the wind on foot.

Quite a few times I bump into a hunter out in the lot area and they complain they don't see deer as they puff on a cigar, told one guy to stand a bit further away from me, because I didn't want to stick like a cigar in the woods.

One of the places I hunt is just like the area that shadow is talking about. We moved last year so I didn't get to hunt at this spot much at all. This year I was committed to hunting a lot more since last season was spent moving. I HATE MOVING!!
Anyway, there are a couple of those does that just know something isn't right. I could have 10 deer down wind of me but if one of these 2 particular does walk out and stand in the same area that the other 10 deer are standing they will wind me immediately.
The other deer could've been standing there for up to 20 minutes before these other does come out. I even had a 170" 10ptr graze through this group of deer and never even flinch. Something I've done or they, the 2 does, have seen has put me in their sense as danger. I tried all season from Thanksgiving on to get them killed but they wouldn't give me a shot through any of my shooting lanes at a decent distance.
All I'm saying is that with my own personal experience I don't feel that a scent blocker, odor elimination, or other type of product is going to be an absolute fix for "all" deer.
I wish you luck and hope it becomes the next best thing.

I have a place I hunt that is 15 acres near a lot of homes. The deer here spend a lot of time bedding behind a house, eating acorns off the lawns during the nighttime, etc. They smell a lot of human scent. They are a lot more tolerant than any deer I have hunted anywhere else, but there is no way I am going to believe that even with the best scent control I can be 10 yards upwind from one of them on the ground and have it not know I was there. No way.

Another mistake I think people make is assuming that the things mentioned above are going to spook deer such as cigar smoke, exhaust smell, gas from the gas station, etc. What spooks deer is human scent. They are programmed that way from the day we became predators of them. I'm never as concerned about foreign odors that they smell every day, like car exhaust, as I am concerned about human scent I couldn't care less if a guy leaves his hunting clothing in the back of his pickup. What is going to spook the deer is not the clothing, it's the human inside the clothing.

I don't care if you believe me or not, I have nothing to prove to you, that's on you, If you don't believe it works, don't use it, I'll continue to use it and will continue to get close to deer on both sides of the wind. Good luck.

Good luck with your product. I hope it works as well as your early tests indicate.

You don't have to prove it to me. Really don't care. Just keep doing what you are doing for a few more years and see how it goes for you.

The problem with any of these "magic potion" type products is that there really is no way to measure its success. As others have mentioned, you see countless deer being killed with folks wearing scent loc, ozonics, etc. with those folks saying its the reason they got it done, or didn't get busted, etc. But there is no quantifiable way to measure or prove its the reason that deer didn't smell you, etc.

No thanks. I'll wash my clothes, hang them outside for a few days and store them away from everything else. Then hunt the wind. Its way cheaper and less hassle.
