We are good to go. On another note, shot some 3-D this weekend to get ready. Gonna shoot another round at a different place here in Delaware this Sunday. And gonna pull some cards on two cams before our season starts 9/1. Hoping to knock down a doe rather quickly!
Right now, nope. Just keep team engaged (I'll help with those update messages) and always remind folks of taking tons of pictures upon harvest LOL! I've yet to be on a team where someone goofs this up (myself included a couple contests back)...forgot the bow in them.
When does everyones season starts PA is Sept 29 for me. Certain counties start earlier but it is doe only, not where I hunt thou.
October 1st here. If cams indicate I usually target a doe that first week or two and hunt very non-intrusive. No mornings unless serious shooter is showing consistently that is an option. I also never go in deep or to spots I have an iffy exit until at least week 3 rolls around. From about the 25th through firearm season here (Nov-18th I believe this year) I hunt hard and take a TON of afternoons off of work and some all day sits typically occur as well. Sadly this has been one of the slowest buck pictures years I can remember. It is normal on 2 of my properties to not have pictures yet of bucks till about September (late) but it has been CRAZY slow this year. Our biggest big buck potential property has always been riddled with idiot neighbors (trespassing, stands stolen and a camera once too) and this year we thought was oddly slow on pictures...come to find out we have uncovered some have been trespassing and setting up small meth cook spots in the landowner's woods.....so that whole ordeal has increased traffic and new neighbors to the West have been out "exploring and confirming" property lines they claim. All that has now been straightened out (thank you trail cam pictures make lying hard)....we expect it to get better as it typically does rolling into September. The corn is beans this year too so no bucks bedding in the corn also limited the pictures. We do though have one crazy unique buck I am 90% sure is a buck I called Gary last year so this year changed his name to Bertier (Gary) given he has one strong right side with 6 typical points...but his left side is seriously a 10-14 inch tall "club" with just tons of points that almost look like fingers coming off of it. Will be pulling cards there this week or Saturday at latest and will share pics of him and hopefully some of the other big boys we know survived out there last year.
Same here Ty... Here are two more avatars I threw together after some suggestions from T and Muddy...
here are a few good ones from this weekends pull. I think mr. drop tine in the first pic might move into my #1 spot here if he sticks around. Date, year, time. Pretty much everything is wrong on the first pic by the way.
I'm good with it. If everyone else is --- here is the updated pic. Just save to your device and browse to it from your avatar admin screen.
