Pops and I hit the swamp property tonight...he saw 10 I saw 2....one was a moose of a doe I'd probably of shot.

Pops passed the gorgeous young 7 pointer I also have before. He was cruising nearly 2 hours before sunset.

Struggled last night to not cough due to illness....but made it. Tonight I may make first real move in on Bertier....I'm 80% sure I'll shoot if given a chance. If I don't move in tonight the stand I like my chances best out there won't be viable till Friday.

Bucks are cruising but not the big mature boys from what we've seen....any day now I expect it will all break loose in a big way. Has too.

Good luck in your search for a buck tynimiller, from what I am seeing here in central Ohio the big mature deer are finally on there feet!
I see them while driving and there are lots of them being killed in the area, Good luck fellas this is the one week we all wait for as deer hunters.. Climb a tree and stay in it!

I'm finally at it. Been seeing bucks mostly smaller ones passed a big seven point last night with 13" g2s I might regret that but hard to pull the trigger on the first day

My vacation resumes tomorrow-- but my river bottom lease is now officially a flood zone according to the weather alerts.

Got a feeling that my ground blind on the river edge is now washed out and headed towards the next county. I will do a quick drive by the place this evening to see what options there might be for a hunt.

I am hoping that the deer there get pushed up to the higher ground and it concentrate them in what little wood line strip are high and dry.

Sorry guys. Haven't gotten the buck scored yet. I've been super busy with work and trying to get out to the woods every chance I get. I PROMISE I'll get him scored and posted in the next couple days.

Had awful day yesterday in the woods, didn't see anything in the morning, went home for lunch, got back late. I was up in my climber, strapped in and I realized I forgot my release. I turned around and lost my can call to the bottom of the tree. I then see a group of deer run away. 7 or 8 DEER.

To late to go back to trk and get release. I've shot my bow with fingers I'm on good out to 10 to maybe 15 yards.

    Didn't see anything anyways

    Back at this morning

NE winds are not good for almost all my stands. Decided to change my plan to hunt this morning because of it. Hate to booger up good spots by hunting bad winds.. will head out after lunch and do a evening hunt off the ground on the downwind side of a thick ravine that the does bed in. If I'm lucky I'll be able to slip in and find a spot to watch the downwind side of it.

I wont be able to hunt till Friday, but its shaping up to be a great day. There is a 15 degree temperature drop and the barometric pressure is super high. November 10th! I cant wait to get in the stand.

Saw a lot of deer last night but then with about 30 mins left had a lady trespass walking her dogs right by stand.....had a stern but respectful conversation and she left.....not an enjoyable experience.

I did find her house later and left a note to call me. I wanted to have a good relationship with a neighbor, which can be another set of eyes....she was petrified when I spoke up and she had no clue where I was. We had a great conversation when she called, she requested walking permission to which I declined, but she understood and said she would call if she ever saw anyone out behind her back yard (my way) that seems suspicious. Sucked, but atleast it wasn't a hunter planning on poaching...

Oh...wind is Easts again Friday...so I will be back in that bedroom edge after Bertier than....if nothing I'll be letting that property sit till firearms season (we lose two of our other best spots then) and focus on Riverbottom and Swamp property hard till firearms. Getting to crunch time, and the deer are starting to move better for sure!

Oh forgot...mentioned had some finally shooters or borderline show at Swamp Prop

The first I know I'd shoot...cannot upload video of him but he is mature and no doubter. The second I think is a real nice 8 pointer....but I peg no older than 3.5

I'm liking the updates and all the trail camera pictures!
I have nothing else to do but wish I could sit in a tree with a buck tag burning in my pocket!
Once again good luck to everyone, Hope you all have a great season!
