Back at it again, same spot as last night.
Was late getting into my spot, frost on windshield. Had doe hang around for over 45 minutes. Was hoping big boy would come ck her out

Heading back to the river bottom lease this evening. Going to be hunting a new stand in a little wood lot that sets between bedding area and and picked corn. Had lots of doe pictures there all summer. Maybe catch a buck strolling checking on the ladies. Big doe might even get shot!

I've been going back and forth on staying here or headed to Illinois to hunt. If the weather stays cold like it's been I probably will have to head down. We will see I have to work a few more days then I'm calling it and hitting the woods

I like it a lot, I've had deer dead down wind and they don't blow or leave immediately. A year ago I had 3 or 4 deer down wind at quiting time about 75/ 80 yards down wind. When I turn off the ozonics - 10 seconds latter they started to blow and scattered.

This year they were so close and sniffing the air but they didn't blow or leave. They hung around for about 30-40 minutes until they lost interest. I also spray down and wash in scent free soap, every bit helps

Shot a buck this morning guys! He was the first deer I saw this morning and came to scent check the creek crossing I was sitting by. He gave me a perfect, quartered away, 22 yard shot and crashed 80 yards away! I haven't scored him yet but I'd guess he'll be in the mid 120s. 3 year old 8 point, with split g2s and a 2" sticker off one of his bases.

I was solo on this hunt away from home so I didn't get trophy pics. But I did take video on my Sony handy cam with deer and bow. So I'll save a couple freeze frames to post on the scoreboard this week. Buck down boys!! Who's next?!

Seen 3 does and a small 8 last night. Passed up shooting the lead doe because I saw horns following.

Back at tonight. Got the grand babies hanging out with me this morning or I would be in a stand.

NEB awesome man! Bigger than anything I've seen yet sadly...I agree mid to upper 120s as looks similar to mine last year but wider and little more mass but slightly shorter splits. AWESOME!!

I did last night pass up a shot at a mature doe on cam (would have been first ever) but before they broke cover and into the field she kept looking back...I couldn't shoot her and live with regret of finally maybe having a shooter coming in. Footage uploading to Facebook here:

I'm hitting that property again tonight....but may be in a very doe shooting friendly spot so we shall see...

Well tonight was a bust. Wind kept me out of my best stands. I ended up hunting out of a ground blind down at the family farm. Saw 1 little nubbin buck about 5 pm. He seemed lost and came into a bleat.

Well fellas, another good night on stand, saw plenty of deer and passed a great framed young 6pt (nub 7)...got a ton of awesome video of him as he spent a ton of time under 15 yards from me....then after dark he came and rubbed a poplar sapling so close to my stand tree that the top of the tree was hitting my branches and I could even stick my hand out and it would hit it....LOL! Hunting the sign they say...
