I have the option to hunt tonight but haven't made a decision....mid-70's and a wind that limits high percentage options for me really. Will make the decision mid-day sometime...

That is a thought which has crossed my mind...have not sat mornings and don't like to first few weeks...but knowing next week mornings and hunting at all is gonna be tough for me to do I may hunt morning tomorrow....try slipping into a spot they may swing up by from food to their beds without detecting my entrance.....brain is rattling with choices.

Chose not to push it. Reports from many around me this morning a lot of 2.5s were up and active till about 10am or so. Will mow, do things around the house and spend night with wife. Try to do first morning sit tomorrow in a brand new stand hung a month or so back....try catching a big doe retreating into the oak flats and bedding coming back from alfalfa in the morning....

Well wind was too easterly for morning so went back to bed.

Hit stand this evening and last 40 minutes had a huge doe come through too fast for me to get cam and bow and yardage (not a preplanned spot) to shoot her.

Then had a great 1.5 year old 8 that I pray lives minimum 2 more if not 3 more. A button buck as well. The 8 was directly under stand....all filmed.

Fun night despite not loosening an arrow.

Looks like I have to do some trail clearing tommorow at the family farm.

Brother told me that the log road that runs up a big holler at the farm has a tree across it right at the creek crossing. This is my main access into 5 setups that I plan on hunting during my vacation.

I haven't been out in two weeks. This year the weather has just been terrible by me. Of the handful of times ive went its been raining twice, 25mph wind twice, and 70 degrees once. Starting next weekend its go time though. Highs in the low 40's. I will be out all day Saturday and sunday and then my rutcation starts Nov. 4th. This may be an unproductive week of work for me.

sorry i havent been on here much guys. Been playing catch up since bear season closed. due to potential career change i might not be able to travel to hunt which keeps me up in northern wi. Iam planning on getting after it here in a couple weeks will knock a couple does down regardless but guna hold of and use em as live bait at first.

I have hunted far less than normal throughout all our properties due to the crazy warm temps...and when I have went I've decided very low impact spots due to heat. Still seeing deer but not expecting much till colder weather or breeding actually starts.

No worries man! Life is crazy sometimes, I am set to experience one of my busiest work weeks this week...right during a cold snap lol...sucks but gotta do what ya gotta do. Good luck!
