Current set up is as follows:

Main Cam is a Canon G20, Rode Shotgun mic rig, Fourth Arrow Carbon Arm (got 5 bases, 1 shoulder), believe fluid head is a manfrotto (can't for life remember), Varizoom Stealth-Miniature lanc remote. (I won all the Fourth Arrow stuff believe it or not...plus the fluid head)

Secondary cams consist of a Epic cam mounted to tree on screw in holder but also operate a HD Handycam for secondary as well (testing out mounts currently for that)

The main cam is nothing special but gets the job done and I'm very happy I didn't just go with a upgraded handycam (secondary one is like a 2010 model).

That's a nice set up. you have the secondary on you?
We had a sponsor for a secondary cam but they were really grainy and I didn't really care for it. I'm not currently using one but they are very nice to have.
Do you self film or hunt with someone and switch off who's hunting?

I just meant second angle camera is all. I usually don't take the handycam with me but the epic cam for 2nd angle works usually.

Currently seeing what happens....zero shooters on cam here so a big doe may just itch the trigger....not sure.

Saw 9 slick heads and zero bucks. I nearly made it happen on the big boss doe but it was very fleeting light, couldn't get it on cam which told me to not try the 30 yard shot with that lack of light.

Not too worried...haven't started really hunting hard and not really one to shoot does before firearms season ends anyways but she was so massive I was gonna take her if presented. She took too long crossing the alfalfa field.

Saw 6 does and a small basket 8 this morning. No deer seen tonight. The only one to present a shot was the buck. He needs a couple years before he is n danger from me.

I had to work church service tonight but wouldn't have went as it has been pouring for hours before dark and will be another two or so....I'll be out tomorrow evening though....thinking most likely I'll be at a property where does are fair game too!

Had a 8 pt walk by tonight, 15 yards away. About 70 inches, I let him walk. Previous years I would have killed him. Now that I'm retired and have alot more time, I let him pass. Looking for something 110+!!!! IMG_20171014_183034101_TOP.jpg

Nice, and that's all doe kills. Well how does the fergie buck for carp work. Can he still kill a buck?

The new rule applied either last year or two years ago does allow a 2nd buck but it would be only allowed to be counted as 50points no matter the size of it. Due to some guys don't get doe tags and find themselves hunting with only buck tags.

I'll be out tonight finally at a spot (if all stays same) where I'll be slick head targeting tonight. First 2.5 old doe or older that gives me a shot will get an arrow for dinner. Not getting deep in though and hoping the acorns are still pulling them up and around the stand I'm thinking of sitting.

TONS of season left and I'll shoot a team update here in a bit, quite a few fellas that have been MIA for a while.

Just figure they haven't been hunting much.. Next week we should see more bucks up on their feet roaming checking out does and scrapping

Yup...3rd week of October has always been the antsy/scrape opening time frames around my properties...some of my favorite hunting is the 21st through the 5th of November. Pre-Rut is my favorite time to get those target bucks...once rut comes it is a crapshoot really on target bucks often times.

Hard to shoot those bucks chasing. They never stand still long enough for a shot LOL
