Honda ATV all the way. I've absolutely beat the tar out of ours and it is still trucking. Their transmissions are bulletproof, and they are very economical as well.

As far as UTV's, I only have experience with Kubota's and BadBoy Buggies. I do not love either of them but the Kubota is by far and away better than that stupid BadBoy. The Kubota is simple and easy to drive, but it isn't very quiet

We have 5 Polaris ATVs and have had zero issues with any of them. Power steering anything is awesome though.

Ok, for atv's I have a Yamaha Grizzly 660, have had really good luck with it, all kinds of power. As far as the utv, i would have to recommend Deere, not only because i sell them, but they stand up to their name, no not as fast as Polaris, but at 50hp and 45mph, that should be plenty, imo. If you ever wanted to put a snow blade on Boss makes a straight or v-blade for the heavy duty utv's. Another reason to go with Deere is that if you take care of it and don't beat the *ell out of it you will get 80-85% of your money back. Deere has one of the highest resale values on the market, anyway just my two cents. Here is a pic of a loaeded 825i. 1523.jpg

When I was buying my UTV I really liked the JD XUV as well. Two reason I did not go with one. First being there were hardly any used ones on the market (and no way was I going to buy new since I was going to bump, scratch and dent it anyway) and second is price. There are a bit pricey for my taste.

Looks like great machines though and if I could find a good deal on a used one I might of jumped on it.

I looked at some a couple weeks ago and their prices were comparable to the polaris.

New ones? If I recall the Polaris was the cheapest of all of them back then. I'm trying to remember but the Polaris I was looking at was something like $7500-8500 new. The JD was approaching $11k.

I think I was looking at the Polaris 500 for 7500 new on a left over and a 625i for 10,400 back then. IIRC.

I like the polaris Ranger or the yamaha Rhino. I bought this '07 Rhino 4 1/2 years ago for $5600. Was a great deal. The Rhino is an awesome and valuable tool around my place. I do wish it had more power (who don't) as it is the Rhino 450, but it gets me up and down my hills with no problem at all. Doesn't go into neutral when coasting either. Top speed is 37 mph. If you go 20 mph on my trails, that's maniac speed. Bed cap. is 400 lbs and will tow 1000 lbs. I have exceeded both. Great machine. All I've ever put ino it was gas and oil. It's starting to need tires.

The 570 is $9500 now and the 400 is $8300

    John deere 625i is $10700

If one wants a smaller SxS, then yes, you can do much cheaper.
