attractent vs baiting

    i probably misspelled it.but if using a product like c'mere deer.is that bait or an attractant?the law here says you cant bait on public land is there something i can use?

    i would think c'mere deer is more along the line of a bait. To have a safe attractant your gonna have to use something with a scent like the buck bomb

    Yea, it's called SCOUTING...

    Stop trying to bring the deer to you, and, go to them. This is hunting, not luring ! Good luck.

    yes i believe in scouting however i only have public land to hunt on.and its getting really crowded.im not looking to bait the deer.im looking for something to get them in a general area.

    Watch the other guys hunting the area. Scout them as much as the deer. Then, go where they are not. Go deeper than them. Go between them and the deer.

    The rut is approaching, so, if I were you, I would try to find trail intersections where a buck trail crosses some doe trails. Think like a horny buck, literally.
