I would love to hunt high ground, thick timber, mountains......whatever animal. No treestands, no sitting for long periods of time. Moving and hunting in a beautiful environment. And sharing my hunt with some great guys would make it my dream hunt.

My number 1 all time dream hunt is hands down anything in Alaska. Looks like I'll knock that one out in about 2 months.

I'd also LOVE to hunt New Zealand sometime (probably focusing on chamois/tahr but there are ALOT of species over there) Thats a within 2 years plan.

Once those two are done, my next goal is the NA Deer slam (5 species). I'll likely hunt AZ, CA, and NM to finish out that slam.

My Lifetime hunting goal beyond these trips is a Representative Slam of NA (11 species). 1 deer, 1 sheep, 1 bear, 1 musk ox, 1 pronghorn, 1 mtn goat, 1 mtn lion, 1 caribou, 1 moose, 1 elk, and 1 free ranging bison. My two favorites on that list are Mtn Goat and Brown Bear....but I can't make those happen until later in life when finances will allow.

Like Jeff said, it's all about MAKING it happen. I used to sit around and dream and talk about "Man it would be the dream to get to hunt in Alaska." One day, I decided WHY NOT? Hell alot of guys spend more on bows in a year than I am dropping on the ENTIRE trip. I just quit buying unneeded hunting gadgets, quit eating out as much, and started taking on more yards, I am about $800 shy of my goal to make two trips this year, should be set by July 4th weekend.

If you have a dream, set out to DO it rather than just keep dreaming.

Will has REALLY helped me put things in perspective on how to go about these, and Rob has really helped me with AK plans. People are willing to help IF you ask.

Dream hunts include #1 Elk hands down. A close 2nd would be Alaska for moose.

I am going to Illinois this Nov, that is something I can hardly wait to do.Hopefully next year I can go to Iowa and if I don't get drawn I would like to go to Colorado to try an OTC elk hunt.Every hunt that I will go on will be my dream hunt, because you never know when it will be your last.I am going to try my luck at baiting bears this year, and if I can get some bears to come in and feel like I could put people on bears I would have no problem hosting a couple of members for a black bear hunt next year.

Hands down, one of the Big Bears up north. 2nd, 3rd and 4th would be Elk, Moose and Mule Deer.

I'm not sure I could narrow it down to just one animal....but if I were forced to I would have to say elk.

One animal right now. Elk in the rut. I'd sure like the moose in the Yukon too. Most likely to happen first is a bear hunt in Canada or a hog hunt more locally.

I am struggling with the "dream" aspect...JUST DO IT. It’s better when you’re awake!

After my musk ox hunt in September, my local hunts for deer, elk, antelope, bear (I hope a few of you can attended and please feel free to come the last week of Colorado’s archery season), my whitetail, turkey, hog hunts in Nebraska, Texas and S. Dakota, my blacktailed deer hunt in Washington state, and desert mulie hunt in N. Mexico (Trev, if I do not draw this tag, I want to talk to you about the couses in AZ.), I plan on concentrating my energy towards a hippo, cape buffalo, red hartebeast, croc hunt in Africa (2010). That same year (Sept), I look forward to having Rob, Rex, Jeff, Russ, Bails and a few others here in God's country (9-10 people would be perfect-hint, hint). This will be a DIY style elk/deer hunt with good friends in great habitat. I will do my best to point everyone in the right direction. I will hunt with everyone as much as possible. We will all share camp/stories in the evening. The last time we did this, all 9 hunters had opportunities. A 6x7 and a 5x5 bull were arrowed. Four 6x6 bulls and a cow were cleanly missed. One lad from England (the only person with a mulie tag) missed several opportunities on deer.

I look forward to hunting Oz with Russ and the brethren there in 2011. I have not planned anything beyond this.
