So I was poking around the ASAT website (www.asatcamo.com) and came across the ASAT Elite Series garments. There's not much info about them on the site, but they look very nice. Wondering if any of you ASAT users have any experience with these garments, or any additional information about them?
So do you actually have any advice on the apparel I asked about, or was this post simply to let us know how totally awesome you are?
But since you asked Justin, advice? I'd stay completely away from ASAT unless you can get it for free. That's my advice. ;-)
WOW Jeff, you must have got a free wool hat with that free camo. It's sure pulled down over your eyes. I'll see if Jenny will pull that knife out of my back. That said, I'm done with the Enigma thing and ASAT thing. I wore Ultimate Camo, Realtree AP and Predator all season. I guess everything I've done for you and said on the subject gets put to the back burner when someone hands you free camo. I didn't and won't answer Buck Magnets question as I will probably get threatened with another pathetic law suit by your precious Rob Smollack because the truth stings. Sorry Justin, I'm off the thread from here on out.
Yikes you guys! Let's keep it civil... You only see this kind of talk when you are striking at someones core, like if their broadheads and fletchings are aligned!
Yeah, this entire line of conversation could have been avoided. No one attacked you and rather just commenting on the product, you chose it necessary to attack not only me, but a friend of mine. You choose to take the side of a man you have had a couple conversations with over someone you call a friend and have known for several years. Sorry again J, I got sucked back in. Never once in the history of my posting would you ever read me saying anything negative about the pattern, you simply read that I will never spend a penny of my money to get it as long as the current owner sits in his seat. I've owned ASAT camo for over 20 years now. Back in the late 90's I sat down with the former Creative Direct as well as the two Inventors of ASAT for dinner with plans of taking ASAT mainstream again. Prior to that dinner you could not find ASAT unless you happen by a booth at a single trade show. The one inventor and I still have routine conversations with. The current owner once stated that he is aware that I have been instrumental to where ASAT is today and yet you who have just been given free camo a month ago think you know the truth. My feelings about the company are my direct dealings!
Man this is where all the fun is, LOL ASAT Elite is/was Sitka Gear. It's the same stuff, hell the pants are exactly the same. The Jackets run small for some reason. It's a good suit for any condition or terrain IMO.
It looks like neoprene? I've been using ASAT bibs for the past 2 seasons and had good success with it. It did seem to fade faster than I expected, but I really love the pattern.
I hope they are not using same manufacture as SITKA, I have the jacket back twice to get repaired. Sitka customer Service has been great. BBM the material does have a rubbery look, but it is extremely quiet. Now it is warm, but if you are going to do ANY walking in it, be prepaird to sweat, a LOT. I keep the Jacket off until I reach my stand. As for burr proof, it's the best I have used flat out.
This thread reminds me of an old coon dog I had. I was in the dog house with his mother when he was born, We grew to be good buddies, I taught him to hunt, fish, and we played together, Hell I even had to go bail him out of jail a few times when he followed me to school. One day I grabbed a left over plate of fried chicken out of the fridge and was sitting on the porch with old Duke, Now I am in no hurry and am stripping the chicken from the bone so my old buddy Duke dont choke, so I go to hand him a glob of meat and the SOB halls off and bites me. Well I go in the house to let my Dad know Duke had bitten me and guess what, old Duke choked to death on those chicken bones while I was in the house.
