buddy and i had a debate last night after him telling a story about shooting league the other night. this particular league is 18 stations, 4 archers each station, flinging 4 arrows a piece. to me it sounded like a bow shop's dream (this league was not at a shop) just for the sheer amount of arrows that would get trashed. thoughts? i think two arrows would be plenty.

second question. have you ever shot another archer's arrow/nock on purpose just to trash his/her arrow.

or is this just the price to pay when shooting league??

I ding my brother's arrows once in a while. It's all in good fun between brothers. We don't try to do it often, but sometimes brothers can get to feeling a bit ornery LOL

Have to agree. You know the rules going into the league and you have to expect it.

My thought is that you have to pay to play... arrows are going to get beat up regardless of what you're shooting. I've shot lots other archery's arrow/nock on purpose... mainly because it was in the X-ring but not just to trash their arrow.

is 4 guys flinging 4 arrows at each station (18) too much? guess if i shot in this league i'd like to have it two arrows for each guy. then i think you get a bit less stackin'. you could go around (the stations) twice then.

I shoot with a couple guys at work, occasionally we'll shoot at each others, just depends on who we are shooting with.
Other than that we just try to do the common courtsey thing and not worry about where their arrow is.

My Lt. From work and I are members of the same club and when we meet up to shoot we like a challenge. We will put a sticker up that is the size of a quarter and everyone puts a dollar in the pot. We shoot from 20-30 yards and if you hit the dot you get a dollar.

This is where the arrow damage can happen. Everyone takes a shot at the sticker and if nobody hits it everyone shoots again. You can get quite a few arrows all bunched up. We know there is a risk to your arrow but its all part of the game. It kinda motivates you to hit the target the first time. This is also why I use G knocks on my target arrows.

    Last time I checked 4X4 = 16. Did I miss something?

I would think if they were shooting Vegas spots, that would be about right.

    If your counting arrows, then yes. 4 archers x 4 arrows x 18 stations= 288 arrows

Where'd you go to school, Kansas? :whip: :o

yeah your math is correct the eighteen was/is the number of stations. i was asking if anyone thought that 4 guy/gals shooting 4 arrows each at one station is a bit much. all trying to hit in the same 3D sweet spot stacking 16 arrows. sorry for the confusion
