    Hi all,

I am very, very new at this bowhunting thing and still learning as much as I can. I read some threads about arrows, and was wondering if there is a difference between target and field arrows?

I have a starter bow that came with a set of arrows fitted with target tips. Do I need to get different arrows for the field? If so, what would you suggest for arrows that don't cost an arm and a leg? Or maybe I should just invest in some good ones that cost a little bit more? Are there any arrow brands that I should steer clear from?

Thanks, look forward to some feedback. Have a great Sunday!

if they are standard arrows (if they came with the bow I assume they are).. then just change the field points for broadheads...

Yes, they came with the bow. I wasn't sure if there was a difference between target and field arrows. Good to know that I don't have to have two sets of arrows. Thanks!

If the field tips can screw out then yeah you're good with those

Yes, the field tips screw out. Cool, I can just change them to broadheads. Do you use Dirtnap Gear broadheads? How do you find them? I'm thinking of getting some. Thanks :)

Yep! I'm using the single bevels right now, you can get them at their website dirtnapgear.com. The only downside I've found to them so far is that they are pretty loud but they worked on a turkey this spring
