Yeah, I won't do it without inserts. But I saw the Hammer by Wasp. $33. Saw a video of it getting so far into a cinder block they couldn't pull it out! Still like the Helix idea too. We'll see.

The Easton Torch with brass is an excellent choice. I shoot Torch 330 cut to 30" with 75gr brass and 100gr head. 441grains total with a great FOC. They shoot perfectly out of my 66lb 31" draw Hoyt. Tipped with a Rage Hypodermic and fletched with 2" Nitro vanes at a RW Helical

There is another broadhead at a better price. Werewolf Broadheads - WelcomeThey start at 150 grains and go up from there.

The neat thing is you can get 6 for 90$ instead of say 3 for the same price. Dual bevel or single bevel in left and right. I am working on trying to get a better FOC as well on my arrows but that is going to require new shafts.

Like its been said you can get a high FOC with a lighter weight arrow but it helps to bump up a few grains and getting a UFOC is better.

If you want there is a chart on Alaska Bowhunting Home PageThat shows Draw weight, length of arrow, point weight and what the FOC would be. But that is also for there arrows.

The helix heads are around $50 for 3 and have a solid steel construction I believe. I can't quite tell from their Web site. It does state one serious piece of steel and never says what kind of material the ferrule is made of. Most are aluminum.

Ok, seems the 175+ gr have steel ferrules. The lighter ones apparently have aluminum ferrule.
