Went out bowhunting on Saturday Evening. Set up a couple new stands, along the edge of a milo field that the bucks have been bedding in for the past couple months. 45 minutes before dark this buck stood up. I did some soft grunts and tickled the tines together, and eventually the 10 ptr worked my way. He stopped at 26 yards to take a drink out of a puddle and I let it fly. Made a double-lunged hit on him and he went maybe 45 yards before crashing. I have a few game camera pics of this buck as well, both in and out of velvet. Not the biggest buck of the bunch, but i'm happy with him. Casi did a great job getting everything on video. Now she'll have the rest of the year to bowhunt, with myself behind the camera!
Thanks guys! 6 bucks were bedding in that milo field, and all of them had really white antlers. They bed in the milo everyday, and are getting a lot of sun.
