Trying to keep myself from buying the Halon 5. So I'm playing around with the chill r. Got some 30" Rock mods in 75 & 85% & gain a good amount of speed with those. Right now I have it shooting:
    max#
    85%
    462gr CE Pile Driver
    293fps

    Switch to 75%
    462gr
    301fps

So I was wonder what weight you guys are shooting? Now that deer season is over I'll shooting pigs. I was thinking maybe 425gr arrow but not sure. What's y'all's thoughts?

Heavier go with a 125 grain head, the pigs will appreciate it.

My arrows weigh 362 gr. I pull 69+ #. I my arrows are super short. I only have a 27" draw so my arrows are about 26.75" long!! Heavier is better for sure to a point.

I shoot a Chill R and I have shot the new Halon 6. I did not notice enough of a difference in the 2 other than the Halon was heavier and it was a little more stiff in the beginning of the draw cycle. My Chill R was actually faster than the Halon 6 at the same draw weight even though my bow had a kisser button on it. The Chill R will be more forgiving than the Halon 5 due to the brace height. Not sure of my exact arrow weight but at 64lbs with 29" 85% Rock mods, 27" arrows and 100 grain broad heads, I am shooting 308fps.

That was my exact set also. I to shoot the Halon 6 yesterday & thought the same thing about the draw cycle. I just wanted one because I like the shorter ata & parallel limbs. But I think I've satisfied my wants for now, since I've got a 462gr in the 300fps range.

I'm shooting a Mathews Chill R at 60#, 28" draw length, 85% left off with 430 grain arrows and has worked well on warthogs down here. I"m not sure how warthogs compare to the hogs up there but I've also shot bigger game with the same setup so you should be fine. It also depends on what broad heads you are using.
