I have just purchased a new bow. I have a 27.5 draw length and 70 pounds. I want to shoot my arrows i already have. I weighed them this morning and converted the weights. They are 318 grains and 100 grain tip. 418 grain combined. 31 inches in length carbon arrows. Cabelas stalker extreme. What im asking is are they safe to shoot or to lite. Just really worried about them not causing any damage to my bow do to them being to lite.
No, i bought a used bow last year. They came with that bow. I will do some research and try and look it up.
The the static AMO spine deflection of the Cabela's Stalker Extreme Carbon Arrows – Blazer Vanes, Item # IK-417604 is 65/80(340) and 55/70(400). DOES THIS HELP?
You're going to have to cut the shafts down to use a 400 spine with 70 pounds...I am talking 25 inches, and maybe you can slip buy. I don't try to tune .400 from above 65 anymore ..just me
Ok, if i am going to buy arrows the same length (31inches) then what would be a good spine to look for? 27.5 draw length, 70 pound
Are there any good bow shops near you? I would head in there and have them fix you up. With a 27.5" draw length, I would not shoot a 31" arrow. I think an arrow from 27.5 to 28.5" would be easier to tune and take on the heavy draw weight easier.
As has been said an inch longer than your draw is plenty if you are concerned with keeping your broadhead in front of your hand. I would start with a new set of arrows though. Bowshop time for sure.
