So I know that this could become a long discussion but what are some of your thoughts on lighter weight smaller diameter arrows. I just picked up a dozed of the Easton Hexx 330 at 7.9 grains per inch 28.5 shaft lenth. According to the online calculators with my typical setup total weight would be around 368 grains. Im shooting 29" draw at 70 lbs as IBO says 5 grains per inch at 70 lbs is 350 grains minimum weight is this pushing the limits to close or not? The Bemans I was shooting I think were aroung 405.

Your fine. You just have to determine if that weight arrow is correct for the application you plan on using it.

I used to shoot Hexx arrows and put a 75grn brass insert in the front and ran an arrow wrap with a finished weight of 423grns

    thanks
