If your draw length is 26 inches or shorter possibly. but other factors such as point weight also come into play.
29" I was told at a local bow shop that you could, they said by the time you add a lighted nock and a bow wrap that you would be ok with weight.
....ah they were probably referring to Carbon express 250 ....which if it's still what it used to be was .400 spine. That said, weight wise you'd be fine but your going to be way way under spined at 70, 29.... The guy not giving you the greatest advise.
They were Carbon expresses, im getting another bow (hopefully it comes in this week) and i was thinking about trying out the maxima Reds. I know alot of guys don't care about speed and say placement counts which i agree but with this next bow i want to start shooting longer distances, so im thinking i want as much speed as i can get?
All aboard the FailThread! #1- Never go back to that shop. Ever #2- 250 is referring to the spine, not the weight #3- No, you cannot shoot that unless your draw length is short, 26"ish #4- A lighter faster arrow will not improve your long range accuracy, in fact, in a way the opposite is true.
I would buy the Maxima Hunters350 or Mayhem Hunters350 before I bought the Reds. That is just my opinion though...lol. I love the Mayhem Hunters....very tough and hit hard. The 250 spine will be way too weak.
I have never claimed to be an archery tech and this thread got me thinking....anything wrong with my setup? 65 lb 29 inch draw 31 inch arrows Bemin Pro hunter 340s I believe there 8.9 gpi I could be off jist slightly on that. New bow in october and I never got it chronoed but did tip over two deer with setup, both passthroughs buried deep in the dirt.
