My dad started bow hunting last year he's using my old bow. It's a Martin but not sure what model. Draw weight is maxed at 50lbs and I think draw length is around 27 could check later. Anyway he needs new arrows and just wondering what he should use for weight and spine. I have easton da torch 330s I'm not using this year wondering if they'd work. Thanks in advance!

I am using Easton hexx 330(same as the torch) for a 70 lbs at 28 in so the may be to stiff ??

I would go up to 400 at least with that weight

That is actually down to 400. 400 is a weaker spine than the 330. 400 may be to stiff according to any chart but if you use long enough arrows I think it will be fine.

Could do GoldTip 3555 arrows or Carbon Express 250s. According to some arrows charts 400's might be a little stiff but you might be able to get away with them. The 330's are definitely too stiff. They might work but its a gamble.

I agree. With a 27 DL pulling 50# I would think the 500 spine would be what you'd want. If using 400 use heavier broadheads to weaken the spine some.
