I shoot a pse stinger with a 29" draw and shoot a 60# draw. Not positive on the draw length but its about that. I just bought some carbon blackout x5 envy arrows. I bought 340s instead of 400s miscalculating what I needed. Willie increase in grains per inch weight affect my accuracy or shooting at all?
They will definately affect where your arrows hit being heavier, just have to adjust your sight. 340 seems a bit stiff on the spine for your bow, so not sure how it's going to react. However, a heavier arrow usually flies better, so it shouldn't affect your accuracy, unless the spine is too stiff of course.
Bluesky, you should be good. If your arrows start to be inconsistent, just increase the broadhead weight of your arrows. You might need to up the tip weight by 50 grains or so. However, if it shoots well, just stick with it.
Not sure by you're post if you understand that the 340 and 400 are the spines of the arrow and are not associated with weight, other than the stiffer arrow (340) of the same model arrow will weigh slightly more. There really is no such thing as too heavy of an arrow but there is too stiff. It would have to be extremely stiff to be an issue. Your arrow may be slightly stiff but it shouldn't be an issue. If you need a 400 spine i would defiantly go buy the 400's. i'm just now starting to understand the spine this could cause serious problems with your limbs in the long run so i'm told.
Spine has no effect on your limbs whatsoever. Being too light with arrow weight can play havoc on your limbs, as well as strings, cables and axles. It is basically a dry fire. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
340s will be fine...you will like them and they will not hurt your bow Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
