If you have more arrows that have broadheads on them than your quiver will hold, how do you store them. Do you just take them apart or leave the broadheads on and put them in something else?
I have a box with a bunch of little drawers, something that most handymen might keep screws, washers and hardware like that. Anyway, I keep all of my field points and broadheads in separate little drawers. Another thing that works well is a little tackle box. You can keep stuff, field points, inserts, nocks, etc. in the trays and get little plastic boxes to store broad heads in.
I cut the foam in my case so I could fit one of those little clear fishing things. The ones that go in most tackle boxes. It sits there out of the way and its always with my bow!
I take my broadheads off, and put them in a tackle box. I then store the arrows in the bow they originally come in
Do any of you guys have a special way you store your arrows with broadheads on them other than in a quiver.
I remove the broadheads and store them in little drawers. Any extra arrows I store headless in sections of 4" PVC pipe.
I use these to store my arrows. http://www.bowhunting.com/shopping/Products/24-arrow-Compact-Case-Clearsmoke__9919.aspx
I have a set of hunting only arrows (5 of them), their In my quiver. The rest of my BH's are In my archery box.
I have the same arrow case as Scott, and often store arrows with broadheads in it without a problem. However in most cases I only have enough broadheads screwed on my arrows as will fit in my quiver. The rest are in an archery tackle box with other odds and ends like field points, nocks, string wax etc.
That's what I was looking for. It seems I always end up with a few more than will fit in my quiver. I would love to have a case like that to store my hunting arrows. With a good place to store them, I would probably have a few more on hand than I have now. Thanks.
