I was wanting some good ideas on a diy arror squaring tool. I don't want to spend the money on the g5 arrow squaring tool and I love tinkering with stuff to make.

You just need a trough that will keep the arrow straight and then a flat surface you can attach sand paper to. The toughest part will be ensuring that everything is square.

Like Copperhead said, the hardest part will be ensuring everything is perfectly square. The G5 one is only $40 or less on Amazon. I have the G5 one and it works quite well. I've built instead of bought in the past too but only if it saves me a time and money. Building one is probably cheaper but depends on how much your time is worth to build it.

There was a post on archerytalk.com that showed how to make one with an old broadhead, an insert and a demmel tool cut off wheel. It took me 30 min to make and everything is squared off perfectly. Cost maybe $2 or possibly nothing if you already have all of those items.

There's a guy on archeytalk that makes them with a 3d printer. He sells them for $20 shipped. Guys buy it and seem to be very happy with it.
