Anybody have any experience using the G5 ASD I just got one in an used one my new shaft an where the end of the tool contacted the shaft it left a very noticeable ring around the shaft not anything bad enough to affect the performance or safety but but a eyesore on a freshly built shaft!!!! Any tips or ideas to prevent this from happening again?[IMG]

Is that a scratch or mark like paint coming off the device? If it is a scratch I would not use it and return it, sounds like it has sharp edge or burr on it. Any scratch couldn't potentially open the door for a fail point.

It is definitely a scratch. Can't really feel if there is a burr or anything tried on a couple more shafts adding some bow string wax to the device an had 2 more with not so noticeable marks an one come out good so not real sure what is going on.

Cane take a pic of the ASD. I have one and don't have that issue. I agree with coop that there isa bur or sharp edge that is causing that.

I've never had any issues with the ASD marking the shaft like that. I would check it over really good.
