I ordered new arrows, haven't had a chance to shoot them yet. I wanted a stiffer arrow, but how do I tell if they are too stiff? And how do I fix it?
Not sure what brand you have but here is a start. http://dev.carbonexpressarrows.com/...standstheme/catalogFiles/2009_Arrow_Guide.pdf Also, what caused you to "want" a stiffer arrow?
If they are too stiff than you could increase your bow's poundage and/or increase tip weight. Both will do the trick. I'd check a spine chart to see where they fall. If they group well then I wouldn't really worry about them.
I'm pulling 55 lbs right now. Could be a little more. I'm on the edge from GT 3555's and 5555's so I went with the 55's. And I was reccomended a tougher arrow, so I switched from the expeditions to the xts. So I'm shooting GT XT Hunter 5555's. Pulling about 55 at 29", but I will be either adding some weight or adding another inch to draw.
I went higher with my Cardon Express because I was borderline as well but I ended up being WAY overspinned. I ended up having to go back and buy the others.
UH-OH! I have a friend who is pullin 60 pounds, and I have a faster ibo for what I'm set at, and he's fine... I hope I'll be okay.
