Spine depends mostly on what length you are planning on cutting your arrows. I'm a 28" draw and my arrows are 27"

I think the safest spine for you is 340's

I have tuned several of my 70# bows to a 400 spine. IME Binarys are pretty forgiving of arrow spine, and I had no trouble tuning a 400 arrow 70#. I currently shoot 60# to 63# and still use 400 or in that range. I think my current arrows spine .394

For 70# I'd still say 340's should work best.

I spined you with a .320 on the other thread....... .310 if you used 125's using a 27" arrow. Wanna dirty little secret....
Cabela's Carbon Stalker Extremes, you'd need a 65/80, and these shafts are made by Easton right here in the the USA!!!! They spine right about .320, and would sit about perfect in your set-up with a 100gr tip. Drop to around 66# and you can get away with the 125gr tip. And these arrows are consistent......

    Just a few....

From 40yds using my trusty Trykon XL...
Katera XL RH from 43yds (group shot to show a buddy how various types of fletching really don't make a great deal of difference like a lot of people would like to believe....
The SHAFT in the rear has Blazers on it... :D
    [IMG]

    Black Ice RH from 32yds....

    AM35 RH from 32yds....

And I've set up 4-5 other bows that also RH'd these specific arrows, 4-5 different times just setting up sights.

If I were in your shoes (with no tools)......I'd get an arrow with a little less spine and use the one tuning tool at your disposal......................

The ability to lower your draw weight to achieve proper tune.

    Good luck.

I've personally never had an arrow "too stiff" to tune. I shoot 70lbs at 29" (28" arrow) and I shoot the 340's... Have been shooting the Axis for going on 7 years.

    Dubs....

Have you ever shot a large, fixed blade head.....and a really stiff arrow? I never had one too stiff, until I tried that combo.

    Just curious.

    Ian,
Most any shop can cut arrows for you. At my disposal I have 2 archery shops and a Gander Mountain and they will all cut and insert arrows for $1 each. You don't have to buy them there either. Just a thought.
I am shooting #65-68, 27" draw and 28" arrows. I've gone with both C/E 400s from wal mart and Easton st. epic 340s from the shop. They both shoot almost the exact same for me (rookie / amateur).
