Hi, I am in my first archery and am currently shooting Beman ICS Hunter 400 arrows, would there be any draw backs to going to the ICS 340's. I am looking to get a little more arrow weight, since mine seem to be a little on the light side from what ive been reading. I also have them equipted with feathers, and either the 100 gr Muzzy MX-3 or the GrimReapers, shooting with a Alpine Frontier 30 in draw set at 60lbs or maybe a little more, since its cranked all the way down.

If you want to do this, go with a .340 spined arrow and put a 125gr tip out front. That will better optimize the spine, and you may want to leave the arrow a little long (31" or so), not 100% sure, but that's a mild on the aggressive side cam system, and the LONGER the arrow the weaker the spine becomes. Make the tip weight heavier, and that will also weaken the spine a little to balance it out for a 60# bow. The .400's would probably be fine, but if you want the extra weight, I think you may run just a bit on the weak side adding too much tip weight to a .400 with that long of a DL. Hope that helps a little.
