Hey guys, I notice that my arrow has an inconsistant wobble. I paper tuned the bow and it seems like it is right. I'm shooting a Mathews Drenalin set to 70#. The arrow is an Easton ST Excel 400 measuring 29.5" from the front of the insert to the end of the nock. I'm wondering if the shaft is stiff enough. Thanks Buddy
Looking at the chart I believe it says to be using the .340 no matter if your using 100gr or 125gr. tips. I would try squaring the arrows first before taking any other action.
Correct. You are shooting a lot of pounds to be using a shaft with that much flex. Keep in mind that in some cases a .340 will be heavier as well. Do you homework to get something that will match your application.
The easy way to find out is to drop the poundage on your bow and see if the problem goes away. If it does you can keep those arrows by cutting them shorter and bumping the poundage up a touch as you do until you get the right tune. Remember to tune them a touch on the stiff side since broadheads will shoot better on a slightly stiff arrow than a soft one. Remember that paper tuning is only going to get you started. It's "course tuning" you still need to do some fine tuning from there.
