    Hey guys
So, I just got a VXR 28, currently drawing 73lbs. I am getting the 75lb mods and my bow seems to draw hot so I would expect it to be slightly above the 75lb mark. I have a 28.5 inch draw and my arrows are just a hair under 27 inches carbon to carbon.
I am looking to get a heavier arrow set up once I get the heavier mods. I was thinking of the following
250 spine Black Eagle Rampage (10.7 gpi with 51 grain black eagle inserts)
    4 fletch max stealth
    125 grain tip
I currently shoot the same setup in a 350 spine with a 100 grain head. I believe the finished weight of the new set up would be just a hair over 500 grains.
Is there anything I am missing, or that I should be considering before I buy the components?

I’m not that familiar with black eagle spine charts, but a 250 spine seems a hair stiff for those specs. May need to run the arrows a touch longer with a 250 spine. I’m running Halon 32, 28.5” draw, 68lbs, Easton axis 300, 75g insert, 125g head, 28” arrow.

But maybe at 75lbs it’ll be spot on

Those numbers are spot on. You can even add weight to your insert and stay clean.

Thank you all for the responses. I followed my plan as I laid it out. Arrows fly true out to 100 yards and I just sent one through the pumphouse of a big public land NJ buck. Thanks again for the help!

Congrats man. With arrows it's all about finding the balance for your rig.

Definitely go with the 250 spine. I shoot Black Eagle Renegades with 150 grain broadheads and 75 grain insert weight in addition to the 55 grain insert. Pulling 70lbs at 26.5 inches with 26" carbon to carbon arrows. You will be glad for having the 250 spine.
