I know it's been debated forever, but is there truly a downfall between one or the other for the average home user? Reason I ask is I found an Apple Saw (model AA0425 ) for sale for $35. It needs a cut-off wheel, which is like another $11. The saw is in good shape, but it's only a 5,000RPM saw. It does retail for around $125, though, so I may scoop this up. Thoughts?
I picked up the Cabela's 5,000 a few years ago when I first put together my home shop... it's handled everything I've ever asked it to with ease.
