I guess I never thought of that. I would buy the qad hdx over the apache carbon if it was about looks but I don't like the thought of all of the moving parts that could fail instead of just springs. If I didn't over think everything, I would probably use a hdx. I'm not trying to knock the product or anything but I just wouldn't trust it in the conditions I hunt.
