Was doing some shooting in the back yard last couple of day and saw my grouping getting worse and worse. Also noticed fletching contact on my arrow rest. I have a PSE Stinger 3G with a revolution rest. When I first picked it up it was shooting great, got about 100 shots through it and noticed my rest wasn't functioning intermittently or my groups were way off. did some searching online and saw that the cord could stretch. Tightened up the cord, but was way off and had contact still. Did some manual function checks and saw the arrow shaft was way off from the index marks on the riser. Moved my rest up to align the shaft with the marks and all is well. My question is even though the screws on the rest were tight could it have moved from the shock? Also is it possible my string stretched so much that the nocking point moved in relation to the rest? Are either plausible, or is one, or even another factor the likely culprit? Thanks in advance.

Your string can definitely stretch, resulting in an unturned bow and rest issues.

Never had the issue with custom strings but have had it happen with stock rigging.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it stretched also because it seemed easier to draw, but could it really stretch so much that the mock point moved up to 1/4"? This is my first bow and I'm learning a lot and that's why I asked. It seems surprising that it could stretch that much, but I have heard that PSE factory strings are kinda crappy compared to others.

1/4" is on the extreme side but if the strings are junk, then yes, I say it is possible.
