I have a trophy ridge whisker biscuit arrow rest on my bow. Everyone I talk to says I need to get rid of that arrow rest because it's a nightmare. Any opinions on it? And if you think I should get a new one, what would you recommend?
I have a WB on on bow and a QAD on the other I can shoot accurately to 60 yards with both if I was buying a new rest it's a toss up I love both. The edge my go to the QAD as it paper tuned a little quicker. But WB is a great rest

If you're not having issues with it, why mess with it? Everyone has their own opinion and they know it's right for you.
Well the only issue is that I'm constantly shooting 2-3 inches to the left, yet my sight is already so far over that it's about to fall off Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
He is having issues. Not necessarily from the rest but with his over all bow tune. This tread stems from ill advise given to him on that tread that a WB is junk and he needs to get a new rest. This came from someone that obviously doesn't know how to tune a bow. There is no issue using a WB with a properly tuned bow. For a hunting rest it's a great basic sturdy design that would work simply for many hunters.
From looking at all your threads today; I would strongly advise you to go to a pro shop and have them take a look at your bow and your form.
I recently got rid of my WB because it was getting worn and felt it messed with/touched my fletchings when i released an arrow. (Everyone has their own opinions on that point) I now am using the NAP Apache Rest and really like the quality of it. It's the drop away so relieves my stress of fletchings getting touched, while keeping the arrow still and quiet. But I loved my WB for the years I used it for sure!
That's not a rest issue. Sounds like a grip or some other form issue. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
One definitive issue with a WB is in freezing cold temps it can freeze and impede arrow flight for sure. Other than that whatever works for you shoot it, but I would say with the technology of drop away rests it might be worth the investment to eventually go that route. Good luck
It's not your rest that's the problem. Get your bow to a shop and figure out why your grouping so hard to the left, it could be several things including what has already been mentioned.
Spend some time on U-tube and learn how to tune a bow.Read and re read. It does take time to learn. I have spent hundreds of hours searching, and reading on how to tune a bow. This is also a first time posting on this site. Other words just testing!
Sounds like a form, torque or tune issue. I agree there really nothing WB. My thought is that they a little noisy. I recently had 2 of my QAD's fail. After a timing adjustment they was ok for another 20 shots or so then started failing to fall again. One of them is brand new, not even a month old. My rest now is a Trophy Taker Smackdown Pro. So far I really like. I'm waiting for a week a so to make sure before is get 2 more for my other bows. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
