    My bow is 28.5/61

I've got two sets of arrows and HHA tapes for both, print my own.

One set are GTs at 379.1g shooting 283fps and a calculated 66.41KE

The other is Carbon Express at 433.3g shooting 263fps and a calculated 66.92KE

Which would you shoot? KE is relatively the same. The GTs are faster but the CX are quieter.

I prefer to use the same arrow for hunting and 3D.

Quiet is always better in my world.

That was kinda my thinking as well. The bow is super quiet but with the 433s you hear nothing until it hits the target. I had to drag out a real chrono because AChrono on my phone wouldn't pick up the sound of the shot. Also makes my tape graduations slightly more distinguishable for 1 yd increments for my old eyes. However those 379s will go DEEP into a compressed bale.

Really depends on what and where you typically hunt. Also depends on the style of Broadheads your using.

Whitetail deer and turkey. Been shooting Montecs and 2" Rage Chisel tips. Both of those heads broadhead tuned easily on both arrows.

If I was shooting the mechanical head I would go with the heavy arrow. With the Montec I think either would work and I would pick which one I thought shot and tuned better.

Speed and K.E are only 2 parts of the equation. Momentum is the other, heavier is going to carry more after contact. K.E declines as soon as it leaves the bow and declines faster on the lighter arrow faster.
Theoretically, surface area being the same the heavier arrow gets less wind drift.
    It's also quieter.
I always opt for heavier, but that's my preference.
