i just bought a dozen bare easton deepsix fmj shafts for the season. i'm thinking about putting firenock aero outserts for a couple reasons. 1) last season had some HIT inserts come out/get loose and lost some arrows from not noticing and 2) Try to get a little better FOC. has anyone else done any thing similar and what kind of results have you found???

Me too!!! was talking to the main guy i buy my archery stuff from and he brought them up. With the ability to use my fmj deep six's without the hit insert and the ability to use normal non deep six broadheads has me intrigued

Outserts were common back when carbon arrows first hit the scene. Only issue I ever had with the them were they were a female dog to pull out of Mackenzie 3D targets. Lost a few inside of them.

    1) I've literally never had an HIT insert move. If you use the provided epoxy they are rock solid and damn near permanent. 2) not 100% but I know the firenocks are around 35 grains. Not enough of a weight difference between them and the standard HITs to give a significant increase in FOC.
    3) outserts are notorious for bending, was planning on building some VAPs but that steered me away.
I'd recommend the 75 grain brass HIT inserts
