Ok, in response to my last thread about my arrow getting stuck in the target, what do you guys use for lube? I don't want to go buy something that's $7 for a tiny tube, but what about wiping them down with armorall, wd-40, bar of soap?
i honestly would not do any of it. Lube has scent you're arrow is touching parts of your bow. Plus adding lube to then will also leave lube on you're bow which attract dirt Sent from my LG-E739 using Tapatalk 2
I have only used arrow lube once - won't be using it again. At the range one of the guys I was shooting next too put some on an arrow so I could try it... Put the lube on a very little bit of the front part of the shaft. Pretty soon it started to work it way up the arrow. Few rounds later it worked its way half way up and then only my hands, onto my bow grip - was a heck of a mess - IMO... The shafts felt like they were greased in Crisco and next thing you know, its harder to pull out your lubed shaft then before you put it on.... Bar soap over lube for sure if I had to pick one. Do like the rubber arrow pullers. Also a little trick if shooting FP's is to try and turn the shaft 1/4 turn before pulling - sometimes that helps make it easier to pull out... http://www.amazon.com/Coffey-Marketing-Gorillagrip-Arrow-Puller/dp/B0000B0FXS
