I was going though my bow case a few days ago and discovered that I'm down to 5 arrows. I want to get new ones to switch out, and the best price I've found so far is on huntersfriend.com. I have a 29" draw length, but I'm not sure how long to order them at. How much longer do you have your arrows cut than your draw length?
Depends on your rest, BH and preference. Some rests sit back further than others allowing for a shorter arrow. Some mechanicals extend behind the insert requiring a bit longer arrow for clearance. You can shoot a full length arrow if you wanted to or cut it to help get into a slightly better spine. I've always just come to full draw with an arrow nocked and had my wife mark where I want the arrow cut and measured to the mark. If you err, err on the side of too long
Reminds me of the funny quote from Braveheart :"Some men are longer than others" But in all seriousness, I do the same as Fitz. I have someone mark on an uncut arrow about 1" to 1.5" from the end of my rest while in full draw.
Normally that's what I would do too but I've never bought online before and I don't have raw shafts to measure with.
I have a 29 inch draw but I shoot 28 and a 1/4... but yes it will depend on your arrow rest Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
