Hi I am shooting Easton Carbon arrows 400 with a length of 28 3/4 inch and Easton FMJ 340 at 29 1/2 inch. The 400 shoot better groups than the 340. Do you think if I cut the 340 to the same length as the 400 it would tighten up my groups with them or are there other factors that will come in to play. I am shooting a Hoyt Vector 35 with a 29 1/2 inch draw. Thanks dogfox
The 340's are already to stiff and if you cut them they will be stiffer and the problem will be worse. Try and sell them and then buy more 400's.
my suggestion would be sticking to one type of arrow and one spine. I'd keep the shafts that you like the grouping of, and sell the ones that dont group well to buy more of what you like.
