i had a question about how long my arrows should be, i shoot a 29 in draw length and my arrows are 29.5 in long, i like them to stick out a little to clear my BH from my fingers, but my friend shoots 29 in draw length, and his arrows are realy short, all the way to his rest, and i was wondering, is the shorter arrow more accurate, faster or any thing, and same with the longer arrows

I usually keep mine as short as possible. I think its the old overdraw syndrome still alive in me. :)

My arrows are half an inch longer then my DL, but that's because it is the length of arrow I needed to have the correct spine.

    Ben,
It depends on a few different things, firstly what spine arrows are you shooting and secondly what weight BH are you shooting. A LONGER arrow is generally a little better than a shorter arrow until you get to extremes. I shoot 29.5" .340 spine arrows out of my various set-ups that are all 29" DL, and the tip weight may be the thing that varies. But I'd rather have a STIFFER than needed spine over a WEAKER than needed anyday. For that Bear Attack, you need a STIFF spine as it's got an aggressive cam system. If you like the little longer arrow length, keep it, it makes for a little better flight IMHO, and for your set-up you ought to be shooting a .340 spine arrow at 29.5" with a 100 or 125gr tip. That is what would prospectively spine BEST for that bow at those settings.

    Hope that helps a little.....:tu:

I'd have sworn it said Bear Attack before, but a Charge would be better with a .400 spine. That being said, I've tuned more than a few bows with a STIFF spine for the set-up, and actually punched a couple RH's with a bow that was shooting arrows that should have been "too stiff."

why 400 its not a real aggressive cam it shoots pretty good with 340s, will it be more accurate with 400s
